Throughout February and March 2009,I travelled with Simon Reeve to shoot programme 2 of the series Tropic of Cancer for BBC 2. The trip across the Sahara following the trip of Cancer saw the team cross from the Atlantic coast of Morroco, through the iron ore deposits of Mauritainia to beautiful rocky deserts of Algeria and the classically sculpted sand dunes of Libya.

The journey across the 2000 miles from one side of North Africa to the other was truly epic using every means of transport available - 4x4, plane, train and of course, camels ! The programme was shot in HD using a Panasonic HDX 900 camera.
