This trip across the Philippines was for programme four of the Explore series that aired in February 2009. Again, Simon Reeve led a team across diverse islands of the Philippines.

The stories covered in this programme ranged from the homeless people living inside Manila cemetery to the endangered Tarsier in the equatorial rain forests and on the world famous 2000 year old rice terraces in Banaue.

The most outrageous character that we met whilst making this film (and there were many) was the wife of the former president Marcos, Imelda. We filmed with her as she showed us her apartment, her lawsuits and her shoes !
