All of the photos in this section were taken during my trip to Argentina during April and May 2008. The Explore series was presented by Simon Reeve leading a team of reporters across Argentina from Patagonia to the Pampas.

The first picture is of me in protective clothing because of the aftermath of a Chilean volcano eruption whose ash cloud spread into Argentina causing the team to abandon our filming in southern Patagonia.

The team made it out of the devastated area on the last flight back to Buenos Aires for the next three weeks ! If the flight had been missed, the most passionate match in football would have been missed, Boca Juniors v River Plate.
